Nuby Super Spout Replacement Spouts ARE SUPER!

Nuby and Luv 'n Care, the parent company have come out with their long awaited new style of sippy cup and replacement spouts. The new line is called the super spout line of cups and replacement spouts.

These super spouts are different from the other spouts in that they are molded right into the rim of the cup and although removable, they will not leak or spill. These super spouts will not fit any of the older Nuby sippy cups. When buying them online you need to make sure you are ordering the right ones by looking at the difference in the shape of the spout and the way the spout fits into the rim.

There are several different super spout cups being made at this time. You can find them at Walmart, Target, online at http://shop.nubysippycup.com and Amazon. There is only one replacement super spout being made and that is for the 10 oz tall Nuby Super Spout Easy Gripper sippy cup. I'm not sure why Nuby has limited themselves to making just this replacement but a guess would be money. Apparently it costs many thousands of dollars to manufacture the molds to produce these spouts and as such, there is limited availability.

In the meantime though, enjoy the Nuby super spouts and sippy cups and when you can get them, buy the replacements for the super spout easy grip cups. It will save you money and it will help to save the environment because you will be able to keep the BPA free plastic cups out of the landfills.

The super spouts for the 10 oz Nuby super spout Easy gripper cup are sold two in a package. You should be able to find the replacements for less than what you would have to pay for a new sippy cup. If you are buying online, make sure you compare shipping charges also. A low price up front does not always guarantee the lowest shipping. Service and reliability should also be taken into account as well as shipping times.

The Nuby line of spouts are made of soft, 100% medical grade silicone. The older style cup (seen here) is a great transition cup when weaning your baby from the bottle to his/her first sippy cup. The two handle cup might be easier for your baby to hold and then you can transition to the taller sippy cup later.

The shape in the spouts may make a difference. The newer super spout has a bit more edging whereas the older spouts have a more rounded /oblong shape. Most likely, if you start your baby on one type, s/he will want to continue to use that type. The older spouts are still great spouts, but you do have to line up the notches on the rims to make sure the spouts don't leak. With the new super spout, you don't have any notches to line up because the spout just molds right into the rim with no hassle. With that being said, many parents still like the Nuby best selling 10 oz Nuby Sipper Gripper Cup as shown in the pictures below.

It comes down to a personal choice. The new cups are a bit more expensive as are the new super sport replacement spouts (which are not readily available everywhere yet).
