Secret Restaurant Recipes You Must Have - Applebees Blonde Brownie Recipe

Applebees Blondie Brownie Recipe You Must Have

I like to eat. I like to eat at Applebees. If you have ever eaten at Applebees, you already know that there is lots of good food to eat. Gastronomical delights.

Nothing that I am aware of at Applebees is low fat. If it is, it's designated on the low carb menu, but the food tastes so good, doesn't it make you wonder if just a few fat molecules slipped their way in?

One of my favorite Applebee recipes is for their blondie brownie. I can't disclose where I got the recipe from, so you will just have to take me at my word that it is the original thing.

All you have to do is bake it and see. If it doesn't live up to the same standards as the one you will eat the next time you are at Applebees, then maybe it isn't the receipt that's the problem????

So here goes.

Applebees Blondie Brownie Recipe Pic Courtesy of Applebees

2 Cups Flour

1 tsp baking powder

3/4 tsp salt

1/4 tsp baking soda

1 1/4 sticks unsalted butter

2 cups packed golden brown sugar

2 large eggs

2 tsp vanilla

3/4 cup chocolate chips

3/4 cup chopped pecans

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Flour and butter a 9" x 13" x 2" pan. Sift flower into a bowl. Mix flower, baking powder, salt, and baking soda. Set aside. Melt butter. In a mixing bowl, place melted butter and add sugar, mixing well. Add flour slowly while blending. Batter will be slightly thick. Spread in pan. Sprinkle chocolate chips and chopped pecans over the entire top evenly. Bake for 25 to 30 minutes depending on your oven.

Top with vanilla ice cream if desired and whipped cream. Grab a cup of coffee and enjoy!

If I can't find it, I will try to substitute a similar one. Some secrets are just too good to be discovered and some are closely guarded, but we all know that there must be a generic out there somewhere that would be a good substitute.

Blondie Maple Butter Sauce First combine syrup and butter. Then cook over low heat until the butter is melted. Stir in the brown sugar until dissolved. If you like, add walnuts. ENJOY!

My family get this everytime we go... now we can make it fun @ home while we make them.

The vanilla and eggs are not mentioned in the direction. I caught the eggs but not the vanilla. It did not taste like Applebee's but was still good.

rachael 2 years ago

need to add 8oz package of cream cheese to sauce to make it like applebees, that's the secret!

RACHAEL 2 years ago

And applebees does have white choc chips, that's how we prefer it but to each there own. My recipe is different but that's the two major differences but try the cream cheese. You have to wait til the sauce cools some before adding it but if u like applebees i think u'll like it!

I just ate one at the real restaurant. There are definately no chocolate chips in it.

Do you mean the butterscotch ones?

Lovetocook 2 years ago

There are no chocolate chips in Applebees Blondie. So how can this be "authentic"?

workathomemom 22 months ago

Hi Lovetocook. Not sure the article says it's "authentic". In my research for this recipe,it was stated that this is the original Applebees recipe. It's possible that there are other versions. If you can find them, please feel free to post them here or post the one that you are quoting as being authentic. I'm not perfect. Just trying to share a great recipe which others commenting appear to have enjoyed or modified. Looking forward to your contribution to the real version of applebees blondie. In the meantime, here's another version that I found.
